MY TOP TIPS FOR WEIGHT LOSS

1️⃣ Tracking your calories can be very useful to give you an idea of how much you are actually eating every day but it will also teach you portion control too. At the end of the day, you need to be in a calorie deficit for weight loss to occur so if you are not tracking you are estimating and more than likely you are over-consuming 🤔

2️⃣ A simple way to create more energy expenditure is by increasing your general daily activity levels. Move more! 🚶‍♀️

3️⃣ I would recommend performing resistance training 2-3 times p/week with the goal of building lean muscle tissue (muscle tissue burns more calories than fat at rest) 💪

4️⃣ Manage your less levels throughout the day by can be vital when it comes to losing weight. Leaving yourself in a super stressed state can cause muscle breakdown and can also impair digestion and sleep quality(Jones, 2006) 😩

5️⃣ Sleep is one of the most underutilised variables that everyone seems to overlook. Unfortunately, 4-5 hours of sleep per night just ain’t going to cut it when it comes to optimizing body composition, performance and overall health Aim to get 6-8 hours of quality sleep per night (usually the latter)

6️⃣ Adhere to your plan because this will give you a sustainable approach to the whole process, without it progress will be limited 📝

7️⃣ Consistency will trump everything when it comes to weight loss. Just think about it for a minute. Normally if you are consistent with being inactive, eating a surplus of calories, walking around super stressed and tired, this normally leads to excess weight gain and an unhealthy lifestyle. So if we flip it on its head and be consistent you will lose weight, then begin to turn it all around and lead a healthier lifestyle
