HOW TO STAY IN SHAPE ON HOLIDAY!

When it comes to getting in shape many believe that you cannot have a life and everything needs to be rigid.
_
You cannot go anywhere?
_
You have the fear of weight gain if you go away somewhere?
_
Always stressing about the thought of it?
_
Have you ever felt like this?
_
If so check this out.

If you have been following me you will know that I a huge believer of making “Health and Fitness apart of your life and NOT all your life”.
_
Here are a few DOs and DONTs of what I like to implement while I am away from the so-called routine:
_
DOs
1️⃣ Get more active is a great way to help to burn more calories throughout the day. Walk instead of getting taxis and even get adventurous to explore the new location you are in for the week.
2️⃣ Eat like an adult. For the most part, you can make some really good choices throughout the day and maybe cater to something “off-plan” in the evening time with zero guilt attached to it.
3️⃣ Take time to chill out. You are on a break away from the stressful day to day stuff, be present in the moment and take it all in.
4️⃣ When you are partying maybe opt for spirits and a perhaps a zero-calorie soft drink to control calories somewhat. Maybe add in a water in between drinks to help avoid a desperate hangover.
_
DONTs
1️⃣ Lounge around all day for the duration of your holiday. This can lead to boredom which may increase the likelihood of snacking and drinking to kill time. There’s a time and place for it but not all-day 🙈
2️⃣ Eating for the sake it because you are on “ holidays” probably is not the best idea especially if you are looking control some damage while away.
3️⃣ Do not get anxious with a little bit of weight gain, at the end of the day if you are sensible it will be minuscule and more often than not you will drop that weight in a few days when you are back into a routine (a lot of the time it’s just water weight).
4️⃣ I see people over-analyzing everything while they are away which can lead to a stressful time which can defeat the purpose of a break in my opinion.
_
Personally, when I get away my steps can be anywhere from 20,000-30,000 steps per day which are far greater than my normal routine. I also like to get to the gym as I like new atmosphere and I really enjoy working out (it’s a part of my life 😎)
_
I eat responsibly, always have what I want in throughout the day and also have a couple of beverages too 👌
