HAVE YOU EVER STRUGGLED TO “FEEL” A MUSCLE DURING AN EXERCISE?

Have you ever felt like you cannot “connect” with an exercise in the gym? If so I’ve got something to highlight that may help you out 💪
_
During my career in the fitness industry, I’ve done some stupid stuff in my early days of training that ultimately ruined me and I have seen some idiotic things in the gym 🙈
_
However, the first thing is that you are in the gym trying to better yourself which is amazing but I want to make sure you get the best bang for your buck while your there.
_
During your workouts, you should be looking for optimal performance by executing exercises to a tee for the most part.
_
Why?
_
This will yield the most return on time invested provided everything else is in check.
_
I have a philosophy that if you cannot connect with a muscle during an exercise then how can expect that muscle to adapt and become stronger? 🤔
_
The main reason why you may be not able to connect with the muscle is that your a clearly lifting too heavy (ego lifting).
_
I would suggest dropping back the weight, lock the movement down, get your head in the exercise, go to work and slow things down
_
If you cannot control something when it’s slow how can you expect to control it when it’s fast 💨
_
Unless you are competitive powerlifter the amount of weight you lift doesn’t really matter.
_
As long as your goal is to look better, improve body composition by dropping body fat and increasing lean muscle tissue then focus on tension on the muscle 💪
_
Then progressively overload it overtime and you are onto a winner 🔥
_
At the of the day, no one cares how much you are lifting in the gym especially when your physique does not reflect the effort you are giving in the gym?
_
Think about it 🤓
