I decided to do a post on this after I got a be annoyed by social media “influencers” promoting BS products to their followers with the only intention of making money at the expense of people health and well being.

1️⃣Nowadays “Binge Eating” is a major issue that affects almost 2% of the world’s population and for the most part, it goes under the radar. (Hudson et al. 2007)

_

2️⃣It is directly linked to so many health issues such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease and also mental health issues such as depression or anxiety (Swanson et al. 2011).

_

3️⃣It can be caused due to an unhealthy relationship with food that can lead to uncontrollable eating patterns. This is a very touchy subject but it can be due to previous life experiences and you are unhappy about your current shape, body weight and so on.

_

4️⃣Nowadays social media is an ever-present part of our lives, it is the digital age of technology. This can lead comparisons to people on social media with the ideal figure, life and so on. Let’s be honest here, how many of you scroll down through your Instagram every day and feel like “crap” due to wishing you had some influencers life? Looking at this crap everyday is not good for you and from time to time I like to implement a social media detox, trust me it is a lifesaver.

5️⃣Reach our for help. Depending on your situation it can vary but if you have a severe binge eating disorder I would recommend going to see a specialist in that area. On the other hand if you feel that you haven’t a severe issue but would like help with sorting out “yo-yo dieting” for example, reach out to a good coach to help instil healthy habits in regards to nutrition, exercise and mindset to make this all a lifestyle approach where you do not have to restrict your whole life.

6️⃣Education is key in my opinion to alleviate these issues in society. There are too many people with methods that are far too restrictive when it comes to losing weight and improving your body shape. Trust me when I say that you can have a good quality of life, enjoy good food, exercise, socialize with friends and enjoy the whole process that comes with it.

I’ve helped so many people with bad eating habits to change their life around where now they are role models for their circle of friends and family.

_

The goal is to help as many people as possible by these methods.
